Pros: Wonderful movie. Beautiful animation
Cons: None
The Bottom Line: A wonderful, classic Disney animated movie. Well worth watching.
Review: Disclaimer
I am about to do something I have never done here before - well, at least not on purpose. I am about to make a complete fool of myself. But it is for a good cause. This review is part of the Hard_to_Please Love Fest,... |

The best work Disney EVER did.... |
|||
|
Pros: Beautiful art, wonderful music, the best Disney Villain Ever.
Cons: No cons. Just Beauty.
Review: I re-watched Sleeping Beauty this weekend for the first time in years...I've been a critic of the recent Disney attempts to regain their former glory, and I needed some affirmation that the glory was EVER there. This film put those fears to rest....

Pros: Beautifully realized. Ravishing art work.
Cons: The supporting cast has more personality than the leads.
The Bottom Line: Disney's golden age of animation came to an end with this lovingly realized adaptation of the classic fairy tale.
Review: It's been an absolute bear of a day. I spent all morning with my lawyers, Fajer and Hellmann, negotiating an iron clad contract guaranteeing me the rights to my new Broadway stage spectacular, Mother Teresa: The Musical and locking in complete art ...

Pros: everything
Cons: nope
The Bottom Line: Sleeping Beauty is my absolute favorite Disney animated movie
Review: This is the first movie that I remember seeing in a theater. I was a few months short of five years old when I sat between my two brothers in the back seat of Dads '56 Mercury at the Culver Drive-in to see Sleeping Beauty. Too bad the days of ...

Pros: it's a great movie and a great DVD
Cons: hmm do we really need a standard format.
The Bottom Line: Just Pray that Disney dosen't make a sleeping beauty 2.
Review: I got Sleeping Beauty on DVD 2 years ago when it came out. Its an old fashion Disney movie that I had to add to my collection and after watching it a few times I shelved it before reviewing. It so last week I decided to watch this again so I could ...

Pros: Unique style, great characters, excellent music, nominated for an Oscar
Cons: You can't live in the film
The Bottom Line: "Sleeping Beauty" is Disney at its best. Sometimes misinterpreted or misunderstood, its elements really create the best animated film the studio produced. Simply spectacular.
Review: Walt Disney's "Sleeping Beauty" (1959) was billed as the ultimate animated film. This is a heavy claim to make, but after viewing the film, it is one well deserved. (Side note--I hate how Disney films are categorized as "children's"....

Pros: great movie with good voice animation.
Cons: a little predictable
The Bottom Line: This is a great family and date movie. It keeps you wondering what will happen next. A timeless classic.
Review: Distinctive animation and Tchaikovsky's music are combined to make Disney's most beautiful animated film of all time, Sleeping Beauty. Made by Disney in 1959, this movie is one of the all time best of Disney's movies. Based on the Charles ...

Pros: Superb animation. Beautiful music. Memorable characters.
Cons: Aurora lacks personality. Is a bit dark and solemn.
The Bottom Line: This is the best animated feature ever released. Classic. Timeless. Gorgeous. Enjoyable. And on WIDESCREEN!
Review: Holy Sha-moly! Normally I find it difficult sympathize with directors' whinings about the massacred films that had to be butchered to fit on a TV screen. But, in the case of the new DVD, "Sleeping Beauty", I wonder--how in the world did ...
