You get what you pay for

I liked this crib when seeing it in the store and I was surprised with the low price. When we brought it home I noticed a few drawbacks but I still liked it. After a while some of these drawback turned to be major issue. In addition, I find that "4-in-1" description is really lame. According to the manufacturer you can use it as a:
1. crib
2. toddler bed (two metal side rails are included)
3. "loveseat" (you just take out the sliding side and that's supposed to be children's loveseat).
4. longer side can be used as a headboard for a full size bed (looks ugly too).
Last two uses are pretty lame. 4-in-1 is just someone's idea how to better market the product. There are pictures on walmart website - you can see how each of these four looks like.

Overall I am not satisfied with this crib. Here are pros and cons:

PROS:
1. This crib looks nice.
2. It is made of wood.
3. The color is appealing as well.
4. Rails seem solid and sturdy.
5. It was very cheap compared to competition.

CONS:
1. It took us couple of hours and quite an effort to assemble this crib.
2. Side that slides down was very clumsy and not smooth at all. We've put some vaseline as recommended by manufacturer, but that only provided marginal help. Eventually this side became very very difficult to slide up and down, it would wake up my child if I tried sliding it, and I became worried that this side would slide down if my child leaned on it.
3. "Drawer" is not at all drawer but a shallow box on wheels. First of all - it doesn't look nice. It's poorly made so when you put stuff in there the bottom warps. This box is useless and it would have been better if the manufacturer just skipped the box ("drawer") and invested that money into building other more crucial parts properly.
4. Rails that hold a mattress are made of metal and they rattle quite a bit. This rattle is toned down once you put in a mattress.
5. Sides that you put when you convert this bed into a toddler bed are made of light brownish metal which doesn't look nice with the wood. They could have made it of wood - I wouldn't mind paying a bit more for wooden rails for toddler bed.

- It does not include mattress (just like any other crib that I know of).
- It has metal mattress support slats.
- Crib is made of wood.
- Comes with metal toddler side rails.
- It comes in 2 colors: white paint and honey wood stain.
