Have you seen the NEW movie out called “HANNIBAL”? If you haven’t I would then suggest you first see the movie “THE SILENCE OF THE LAMB”. This is the first part of the squeal to Hannibal.

I rented the movie Silence of the Lamb again this weekend, so I could be refreshed on what Hannibal would be like. I have to say I enjoyed watching this movie for the second time. I have seen things that I missed in the first movie and watching it over again only brought me to the conclusion that this movie deserved to be one of the best movies to watch in the 80’s.

Silence of the Lamb has two famous actors/actress’s in the movie. First we have the awesome actress “Jody Foster” she plays an FBI student named Clarice Starling. Starling is very motivated and is on the verge of graduating and becoming an FBI agent. Her boss sees how well she is doing and decides he wants to have her help him out on a new serial killer that is stocking the city.

Buffalo Bill is the name given to this serial killer. What he does with the victim’s bodies is despicable. He will keep his victim alive for 3 days and starve them and after this he shoots them and then pills off parts of the skin from their body. Why is he doing this is a big question and Jody Foster (Clarice Starling) has to figure it all out and find out that this person is.

So how will she do this? She is assigned to interview one of the most famous serial killers alive Hannibal Lector or better know to others as Hannibal the Cannibal. Hannibal was known to kill his victims and then eat certain parts of their bodies; this is why he got the name Cannibal.

Hannibal was a psychiatrist, and when Clarice went to visit him behind bars she didn’t know what to expect him to look like. What does a serial killer really look like? Some might think they will look all scary or weird and drooling from the mouth or something, but Hannibal who is being played by (Anthony Hopkins), is a very well clean looking gentleman, you would never think he would be a serial killer.

Hannibal at this time has spent 8 years behind bars. No windows to look out, just 3 walls and bars. He wasn’t given any special treatment all he had in his cell was a few paintings that he done, but when he would be bad, they would take them from him.

Hannibal didn’t want to help Clarice at first, but then decided if she would tell him her deepest secrets in exchange for his help then he would be glad to help her. They started to make a bond between each other, and he wanted to help her find the serial killer Buffalo Bill.

During the investigation Clarice stumbled upon a head of a man that was left inside a funeral car. When she asked Hannibal who this person was and why he killed him, Hannibal told her that he never killed this man, but the real killer was Buffalo Bill.

Buffalo Bill had kidnapped a very powerful women’s daughter and had her captive in a basement like well inside his home. He had only his little puddle to keep him company and he would torment the women down in the hole. Buffalo Bill was crazy, after he would kill his victim he would take the skin and then sew each victim’s skin together so he could make himself a dress from the skin.

Clarice gave Hannibal a offer he couldn’t refuse, she told him that if he gave her the name of Buffalo Bill and lead her to his arrest and the capture and return of the young lady, then in return the Governor would take him from the cell he was in and put him in a nice cell with a window of the forest and once a year he would go to a Island and be able to walk on the beach and see the birds for 1 hour each year, but he would be under the watch of a swat team. Of course Hannibal wanted this offer, but the Dr who was in charge of him over heard the conversation and found out that it was all a shame and the offer wasn’t real. So he called the Governor himself and got the offer to be legal. At this point Hannibal was then sent off to talk to the Governor and give her all the information she needed.

During this time Hannibal finds a way to escape his captive and heads out into the world and blends in with the crowds. He wanted to go see his old DR who uses to abuse him in his cell, he wanted to eat him.

During this time Clarice figured out who the serial killer was and went to his home and I will not give you the ending of this movie it is up to you to rent it and see what happens to Clarice and Hannibal the Cannibal.

I would suggest adults see this movie, I wouldn’t recommend any younger children to watch this movie. There is lots of blood of course, and some strong language that isn’t suitable for the younger viewing audience. After you watch this movie then I would suggest you go see Hannibal and find out what he is up too now.
