Good cordless phone for the price

by   theinnergeek ,  Jan 2, 2002
Pros: Great price, good physical construction, decent sound, simple to use.
Cons: No backlighting on display or keys, slight "echo" sound.
The Bottom Line: For the dollar, a very good cordless phone. Only serious drawback is the lack of backlighting (display and keys).
Review: Background
My wife & I had a Vtech 900 MHz cordless phone that *had* been working fine in our old house. But when we moved into our new house, the Vtech stopped functioning -- it couldn't find and hold a channel (I have reviewed that Vtech...

Ahhhhhh 2.4 GHz wonder!

by   bravefanatic ,  Mar 12, 2002
Pros: Strong signal,go a block away, great battery life.
Cons: A little thin, hard to hold in the neck cranny.
The Bottom Line: This is a very good 2.4 GHz phone for under 100 bucks. In 2000 it was the best, might be better out there now though.
Review: I bought my black Siemens 242 cordless phone on a after Thanksgiving sale spending spree in November of 2000.
I being a person that likes to have the best in electronic devices had been drooling over various 2.4 GHz models at Best Buy, Comp USA...

Good Phone for the price

by   mugglestuff ,  Jun 23, 2001
Pros: internal antenna, medium size body of handset, good buttons
Cons: no backlight for buttons or display, memory dial stores #'s only
The Bottom Line: If you are looking for a simple 2.4GH digital cordless phone with caller ID and not with an extravagant price tag than this is the phone to get.
Review: This is my first digital SS cordless 2.4GH phone. Performance is better than my last cordless phone (900MH digital SS). The phone is smaller and does not have an antenna to get in the way, catch and poke things. The buttons on the phone are hard plastic...

Good phone if found on clearance.

by   darkside9923 ,  Sep 7, 2001
Pros: Small size, Internal antenna, and caller ID in handset.
Cons: No backlight for buttons or display.
The Bottom Line: For $40 who could go wrong. Great sound, internal antenna, and Caller ID in handset.
Review: Well I bought this phone to replace an ill Vtech 900Mhz digital phone that served me well for 2 years. I found this phone on clearance for $40 dollars, at that price I would highly recommend the phone, but at the retail of $80+ One may be better off...

Very Good Inexpensive Phone

by   ccb_8 ,  Mar 23, 2002
Pros: small, light, good, sound, seems sturdy
Cons: hard to hold in the cranny of your neck, gets hot sometimes
The Bottom Line: Excellent lightweight, Stylish, Inexpensive phone
Review: I had a nice trusty BellSouth phone, for the past 2 years or so. I was a really nice phone although the range was not very good or the battery life. The antenna broke and it was time to get a new phone.

I searched around on ebay...

Not much to recommend it

by   windhorse23 ,  Mar 20, 2003
Pros: Affordable; adequate features
Cons: Sound quality and interference
The Bottom Line: I don't recommend it. It's not reliable enough, and there are much better deals and better phones to be had.
Review: I bought two of these phones for two separate phone lines because I found them at an excellent price. They SHOULD work a lot better than they do. The basics are all there (Caller ID, mute. redial, etc.) But the sound quality is terribly unreliable, and...
