Great sound isolation and awesome sound

by   davebenham ,  Jan 18, 2009
Pros: Sound isolation, lightweight, and small.
Cons: Takes time to insert into ear - a little inconvenient. Sleeves will eventually need replacement.
The Bottom Line: If need great sound and listen in moderately noisy environments, these are for you.
Review: Overview Unlike the popular earbuds, these phones don't simply go in your ear. By using expandable sleeves, they are inserted into the ear canal to form an air tight seal in your ear. The result is a design that blocks out ambient noise from ...

Earplugs that drown out sound, but play music!

by   sinatrax5 ,  Jan 25, 2008
Pros: Blocks out noise, good sound, custom fit, durable
Cons: price, requires some cleaning from time to time
The Bottom Line: Purchase these buds for their comfort and ability to block out unwanted noise. Sound quality is great and well worth the price tag.
Review: When I first stumbled onto the headphone scene I figured I would never spend more then $30 for a set of headphones... I would however spend any amount of money for an ipod photo, shuffle (gen1 and 2), video ipod, itouch, and sansa MP3 players... Here I ...

A little pricey but worth it

by   crystalattice ,  Nov 20, 2007
Pros: No active noise-canceling; light weight; good sound
Cons: Expensive compared to standard earbuds
The Bottom Line: Worth the price for quiet listening; better than standard included earbuds.
Review: I'd been considering purchasing noise-canceling headphones for quite a while, especially for use at work. I was originally going to buy the active noise-canceling headphones from Bose (the ones you see advertised on TV) but I found out after research ...

Quality inside and out

by   lukeqsee ,  Feb 11, 2008
Pros: Crisp, Clean Sound, Noise-blocking
Cons: Price
The Bottom Line: If you are looking for a good pair noise-blocking headphones, with a lower price tag, these are perfect, with an amazing sound for this price range
Review: Shure already had a good name in my mind before purchasing this product. After I have used them, Shure is the only inner-ear headphones (I will loosely use “headphones” in the rest of the review) I'll ever buy again. Shure has a whole series of SE ...

Sound a bit thin to me and difficult to put in ear.

by   drollic ,  Apr 3, 2008
Pros: Several cover styles. Two part cable.
Cons: Difficult to place in ears and don't have a very strong bass.
The Bottom Line: I wish I had bought a different model. I find I rarely use these.
Review: I've been using Sony EX-70's for several years but they recently went out so I thought I'd try out some new Shure earphones. I like the various cover styles and sizes that come with it. It takes some experimenting to find out which set works the best ...

Do Not Waste Your Money!

by   terrapin69 ,  Feb 3, 2009
Pros: Carrying case included, nice fit, large selection of included ear pads.
Cons: Poor sound quality, horrible bass response, bad handling of the highs.
Review: These are the worst headphones I have ever owned.  Period.  Their lack of bass reproduction and heavy distortion of the highs make these sound isolating headphones one of the worst investments I've made in a long time.  I gave them a year ...
