XR-10C or XR-11XC

by   bh8052002 ,  May 7, 2006
Pros: cheap, great image
Cons: no hdmi/dvi connection
Review: I got xr-10c cousin (XR-11XC) and I'm so pleased with its features that all my friend rushed to get one. Too bad it does not have any HDMI/DVI connection. And construction is very solid, I accidently dropped it from 7 ft, and it's still working great. I ...

An excellent buy if you are paying less than $29.99

by   Salocin ,  Nov 13, 2001
Pros: Very cheap, Low cost if you use generic carts, Top Notch output on glossy paper...
Cons: Can be noisy. No on/off switch, long time at top resolution. consumes a lot of ink
The Bottom Line: OVERALL... an excellent (stress)BASIC color printer.
Review: I have been a long time EPSON owner and was crushed when my EPSON PHOTO 700 Refused to print after 2 years.... After doing some research I had settled on its successor the 2880 DPI Photo 780. At almost 200 bucks I was taken aback with price, almost all...

Lamp life very short

by   vze2rdgy ,  Dec 26, 2006
Pros: Excellent picture quality on a 100ft screen.
Cons: Lamp life is very short. Costly replacement lamp.
Review: This one is a good value for the money. Sharp pictures and bright images. The picture contrast is good enough. However the lamp life is not as good as it has been advertised (3000-4000 hours). Not surprised to know that Sharp will not give more than 90 ...

Great buy

by   man4pnw ,  Mar 20, 2007
Pros: best bang for the buck
Cons: draw the shades for the best effect.
Review: We purchased our Sharp XR11XC last year and have been very very happy with the product. We subscribed to HD cable use the cable box to feed the projector. We did mount the projector to the ceiling and hid the wires and cables being casings. We have a ...

decent projector

by   umbe ,  Jun 30, 2006
Pros: Good projector for the money.
Cons: Lamp life could be longer, am looking at a replacement bulb for $350.
Review: I've had the projector for about 6 months now. Purchased it from Costco. The bulb just went out today, but we've been running it for 8+ hours a day. Picture is sharp and at 1024x768 I don't see the pixels from my 12' viewing distance. I recommend ...

If Ink Guzzling were an Olympic Sport....

by   MofoNobI ,  Jul 24, 2001
Pros: Cheap. Good Print-outs
Cons: No switches. Prints slow. Excessive Ink consumption.
The Bottom Line: Get a more expensive printer, it'll be cheaper in the long run.
Review: This would be your champion hands down.

What can you get for $20 these days? The answer is quite simple - an Epson 480 SXU printer! Yes, at only $20 after rebate from Staples and you've got yourself a state of the art inkjet printer with...

Defaulty printer

by   redoubtsouth ,  May 30, 2003
Pros: Inkwells refill easily.
Cons: Slow, thirsty, noisy, unreliable.
The Bottom Line: Avoid like the plague... but don't take my word for it.
Review: I got my Epson 480SXU (SUX) as part of a package deal with a new computer. The PC came with Windows XP which the printer had no driver for. Epson later provided an updated driver but Microsoft never signed the driver and it never really worked well. The...

Avoid this One!

by   eebie ,  Feb 21, 2002
Pros: low initial price
Cons: high ink costs, poor print quality
The Bottom Line: There is not much I could honestly recommend about this printer. Even the low price does not make this a good purchase.
Review: We bought this printer at work a while ago to replace one that finally died on us. We were basically looking for something print out time cards and such. Nothing particularly fantastic. Despite the low price of the printer, the ink is constantly running...
