UN-Reliable Machine for the Price
Pros:
Good scan and print quality. Looks impressive when smashed to bits with a hammer.
Cons:
Insanely slow. Paper feed jams every time. Buy cheap, worth every penny wasted.
The Bottom Line:
Do get near this machine. Personally I will from here on stick with HP.

Author's Review
Below is a paragraph of the review I originally wrote for this machine. I never finished it and it was saved. I'm glad I never submitted it because now I have a chance to update it with the "after the honeymoon" ugly truth!
*Quote from original review*
I got this machine to replace my Canon multi-function machine. Don't get me started on THAT machine; yuck! In comparison, this machine is easy to assemble and set up, has not jammed once in about 2 months of ownership, and has worked for me without incident. It has recognized distinctive ring every time and, to me, performs like a machine costing many times more. (Costco, $80.)

Was I on drugs when I wrote that?? Shortly after I wrote the paragraph above, I began to have paper handling problems. The feeder would refuse to take a single sheet at a time and would suck in 2, 3, 10, it didn't have any control at all. The problem got so aggravating that I ended up bashing the machine to pieces with my fist and throwing it out the door into the yard. I then got a hammer and smashed it into little bits. That's how much I hated that machine. I would like to also point out that I am usually a peace loving and thoughtful person, more prone to working things out than resorting to violence.
In hindsight, I should have just returned it to Costco, but, I was so angry at the absolutely poor performance of the machine that I didn't even think of it at the time.
Scanning was also incredibly slow. Quality was high, but if you had more than one page to scan, as I often did, AND the machine sucked in the pages all wrong, forget it!
Do not buy this machine. I never again will buy anything except HP. See my future review of an inexpensive HP scanner/printer/fax. HP was always good to me, now I know it wasn't a fluke.
