Sharp Little Sharp

I can't help but wonder when Spanish will over take English as the national language. I never took Spanish in high school, I took French and Latin and even though I can make out some Spanish words using Latin as a base, I really needed the Sharp PW-E250 Dictionary / Translator to help out with my Spanish.

This little Sharp is convenient and easy to use. I will say that since I bought this one, I have since purchased one which has the voice function because Spanish words are not pronounced like English words and you cannot depend upon your knowledge of English to pronounce Spanish words. For example "J" is pronounced like "H". If you don't know this, then your word may not be understood by a Spanish speaking person.

This Translator also has a currency converter which really comes in handy when you are shopping in Spain. You won't mis-calculate or misunderstand the price of something if you use the converter. I have miscalculated before and it is embarassing when you go to pay and it isn't what you thought it would be.

Need to write a letter in Spanish? Then use the spell checker and make sure everything is spelled correctly. If the word is not spelled correctly, then you may not get the correct word or a word at all when translated. This is a very important function.

The key pad is comfortable even for pudgy fingers like mine. I hate little tiny key pads because I tend to make a lot of typing errors. The Sharp PW-E250 electronic dictionary/Translator has a back light which helps if you are using it in a dimly lit restaurant or shopping at night.
