It's like having a friend in the kitchen........

Date of Review:  Jan 9, 2000
Review: It's so nice to have this appliance residing in my kitchen. Microwaves in general are so nice to have, but the Sharp Carousel is extra special.

It's all about the "Instant Sensor" feature which is a blessing. Never again have I burned a...

The SHARP Name Never Lets You Down!

Date of Review:  Feb 11, 2001
The Bottom Line: It's a Sharp...Gotta love it!!
Review: I?ve owned several products made by Sharp over the years, and have never been disappointed with any of them. My Sharp microwave is no exception.

The overall study design is accompanied by several handy features, and a touchpad that?s...

This Sharp one does it all

Date of Review:  Mar 3, 2000
Review: When my 10+ year old microwave oven decided to quit one evening right in the middle of making dinner I was devastated. How would I do all those great things that I use my microwave everyday for, especially heating my mugs of water for my morning...

Didn't Your Mother Teach You to Avoid Sharp Objects?

Date of Review:  Aug 7, 2004
The Bottom Line: I had high hopes for the Sharp R-530BS but unfortunately it's the worst microwave I've ever used.
Review: In my experience bigger microwave ovens tend to be more powerful and cook faster. The Sharp R-530BS is close to the largest microwave I've ever seen so I was looking forward to incredibly fast cook times. Unfortunately I was bound for...

Fits Your 13x9 Pan With Room To Spare!

Date of Review:  Jul 8, 2000
Review: I can not live with out a microwave. Believe me I tried for one week and it was horrible. It is one of those essentials that I must have in my kitchen. I use it for just about every meal, especially dinner. I reheat my leftovers in it. Cook my...

Great Product for the Price

Date of Review:  Jan 8, 2000
Review: I received this microwave for Christmas this year to replace our old, old one, and I love it. I like it because it takes the guesswork out of deciding how long to cook something. There are various preset sensor levels; for instance, you enter on the...

big fast cooking requires frequent cleaning

Date of Review:  Jan 3, 2003
The Bottom Line: Buy it, but let Sharp know how you feel about it. Maybe someday they'll change some of the stupid design. Get used to cleaning.
Review: Some of the features we liked about this microwave above others were:
o internal size holds large containers easily
o wattage power allows reduction of cook time
o quick use features like "Minute Plus" and sensor cooking
o great...

Sharp misses with this one!

Date of Review:  Apr 19, 2009
The Bottom Line: Do not buy this one. Opt for one with a good display and proper key layouts, even if it costs $10 more.
Review:
I bought this unit to replace an older Sharp oven that had served us well for a number of years. My only minor complaint with the previous model was that the display was a little hard to read unless you positioned yourself at just the right...

Round and Round It Goes...

Review: Microwave cooking. One of the greatest inventions of the modern age. How did our mothers cook without them? Every home and apartment should have one. We have this one.

Our old microwave was a very basic model. Cook or defrost and a dial to...

Date of Review:  Apr 28, 2000
Review: After 21 years, my old Sharp Carousel microwave gave up the ghost, so I began searching for a replacement. The man at the first appliance shop I visited sang the praises of Sharp, and the old machine had done a pretty fair job, so I decided on the...
