Pros:
Very easy and convenient to use.
Cons:
Smudges on the front don't wipe off easily.
The Bottom Line:
The ease of use is remarkable. Features are easy to understand and the ability to program the oven to cook something before you get home is out of this world.

Author's Review
My daughter was getting married and everything seemed to be going along according to plan. I was totally amazed at how easy things were coming together. The dress had been bought with only going to one store and a couple of weeks later she found the perfect veil.
She had decided on the decorations and all the supplies were found quite easily and brought home. We made plans a couple of months in advance to have friends over to help make all the decorations.
I had prepared all the snacks ahead of time and placed them in the freezer so on the day of the decorating party I could enjoy it to because all I needed to do was defrost and place the food in the microwave to warm and serve.
Two nights before the party I was preparing dinner in my 18 year old G.E. Microwave that had taken two grown men to carry into the house and I heard a cracking noise and then a spark. The poor old thing had died. I was devastated. I just knew I was going to have to spend all my time monitoring the oven.
The night before the festivities were to take place I was presented with a brand new Sharp R-3A97Microwave with a turntable. You want to talk about one happy camper I was it.
This little oven performed like a champ that night and for months since. Its so easy to use. I was afraid that after having one of those very old timey ovens that I would never get the hang of it but was proven wrong.
The Sharp R-3A97 Microwave measures about 13 ½ deep x 20 ½ wide X 11 ½ tall. Sits nicely in the corner of my kitchen cabinet. The color is black, which goes nicely with my new black oven and the white appliances I have.
I was amazed at the 1100 watts of power this oven has. I was so used to the 600 watts my old oven had that I didn't think anything else could beat it. Proven wrong again.
This oven has so many features that are so easy to use.
There is a three-pronged wheel inside that a thick glass try sits on. You place your food on this and it rotates to evenly cook your food. No stopping and stirring.
There is a wonderful touch pad on the right side. No little buttons where food and grease can hide and ruin the machine.
This machine comes with a compu-defrost. You press this button for the meat you want to defrost (chicken, steak, ground beef, pork chops) then press the weight and start and off you go. Periodically during the defrost cycle it will stop and beep so you can check the meat to make sure the time was set right and its defrosting and not cooking the edges.
Power Levels
You can set this oven to cook at 10% of the power to 90% of the power. Some of the things you need to cook might need full power so you can keep them from getting rubbery.
Snacks & Reheat/CompuCook
This will automatically compute the correct cooking and reheating time and power level for foods. Keep pressing the button until the food you want cooked or reheated appears on the screen (dinner plate, pasta/casserole, fresh roll, frozen roll, coffee or tea, soup, baked potatoes, fresh vegetables, frozen vegetables, rice, ground meat, fish, frozen main dishes) then select the amount and press start.
There is a safety lock to prevent children from playing in the microwave and possibly putting something there that could cause it to ruin or a fire.
Demonstration Mode shows what this oven can do and how to do it.
Minute Plus Pad lets you program the oven by the minute if you do not intend to use seconds.
This oven can be programmed in advance so you can have it come on at a preset time and cook your food for just the right time and have it ready when you walk in the door.
I would have to say this is one of the best microwave ovens that I have ever used. Its so convenient and makes life a little easier for all of us that have busy schedules.
