Excellent microwave

This Sharp replaced our old GE counter-top model which was only 600W and this is our first experience with a carousel. What a difference in the time it takes to cook food. My wife and I both laughed when we hit the popcorn button and saw that it was preset to 1:30. I figured I would have to add more time but I actually had to stop it 10 seconds prior to finishing as the bag was completely popped. I even notice a difference in how many seeds were left over in the bag which I thought was due to the quality of the popcorn...not anymore.

We mainly use our microwave to reheat leftovers and so far it has been awesome. The food is heated evenly, which I am sure is a result of the carousel, and once you figure out ALL of the presets it is very easy to use(they cover almost everything). You definitely have to read the operation manual to understand the preset options but there is a nice cheat sheet of the main options which is listed on the front of the microwave. Being a guy, with big hands I have to concentrate a little more than I care to hit the short cut buttons but after selecting the option you want you then work with the larger numbers on top which I haven't any problems with.

We love the low noise level. Our kids even comment on how quiet this one is and you don't have to purchase anything from the hardware store to place underneath the microwave to help quiet the vibrations like some of the other models we looked at in the same price range.

Overall we really like this unit and would recommend it to anyone.
