Great quality, low price

I have used both the 52" and 46" versions of this flat panel series. Sharp's quality is unsurpassed in the price/size range for LCD TVs.

The most noticeable thing about this TV is its sleek form factor. Having the speakers located at the bottom of the display and tucked back make the most of the viewable surface with little edging around it. It is FAR more attractive than sets that have the speakers on the side of 4 inches of speaker at the bottom.

The response time of the LCD is very good. I have not seen any ghosting or poor performance factors that some LCDs show. The blacks are also very good and Sharp provides a multitude of settings that allow you to adjust the contrast, brightness, backlight, etc, to achieve the best possible picture. While this flat panel will not achieve black levels that a plasma will, it is very good and my HD DirecTV and Xbox 360 in 1080p mode look AWESOME.

A few misc notes. I have this on a Chief swingarm which is mounted to my wall. I also control it via a Pronto and was able to obtain discrete IR codes for the set. A huge plus for the home theater enthusiast.

All in all, this TV has great performance features, tons of settings to adjust (even a service menu if so desired) and the price/performance can not be beat.
