Author's Review

First off, I got this baby for $1299 on Black Friday at Circuit City. What a deal.

I haven't seen any banding that folks occasionally mention. And the sound, while not wonderful, gets the job done until I buy a home theater system.

I am hooking up HD channels today. I expected to be able to get certain channels free with my digital cable, but they said no, I had to get a new upgraded box and pay a monthly fee. Fine. Standard def channels look good on the tv-- some tweaking of the colors were needed. It was a bit reddish out of the box. Overall, the picture quality is very good. I'm very happy.

I hooked up my XBox 360 with an HDMI cable, and it looks incredible. Finally I can see what the game developers intended (and what my online competitors already see.) Call of Duty 4 looks ridiculously awesome!

In my relatively small living room, the screen is plenty big. Wouldn't go bigger, that's for sure!

For the price, this was a steal.
