I purchased this television for my bedroom about 2 years ago. In terms of durability, this is one of the best products that I've purchased. Its literally been on hours each day if not more and none of the pixels have broken / are noticeable after 2 years.
In addition, the picture quality looks great, especially with HD television. However, when I go onto certain non-HD channels, the picture quality looks worse than it would on a regular picture-set tube. Even so, there are a number of great features offered by the Aquos. First, there are a large number of connectivity ports on the back, which has allowed me to connect the television to my dvd player, n64, playstation, and surround sound system. In addition, the TV allows me to hook up my laptop to my television and play whats on my computer on my television, which works great with Slingbox (which allows me to watch tv shows and movies on my computer, and thus now back on my tv).
On the negative aspects, the sound quality seems to be variable. In comparison with other television sets that I've seen, the overall sound quality does not get very loud, which is one of the reasons I have a surround sound system for movies, etc. In addition, when you change between channels, the sound volume often changes and requires some use of the remote.
Overall, if your looking for another television to add to a smaller room, like a bedroom, the 32" television will be great. However, if your planning on putting it into a larger room, you might think of getting a larger set (like a plasma for the same price).
