Sharp AL 1631 Black and White Copier

I bought this copier to replace my Xerox XC1255 which I had repaired several times and sent to our shop for the guys to use. I want it back.
The 1631 is slow, so slow. I know copiers go into sleep mode to save parts but it takes this copier twice as long to warm up as the 1255 and the paper feeder and duplex printing feeder are opposite every other copier I have ever used. To switch to a different zoom takes just as long as warming up. It makes great copies and for the patient person who doesn't do volume copying or a lot of two-sided copying it would be fine. I can't get it to made second-side copies by putting the paper in the paper tray. It always jams when I do that. I find it frustrating and am considering donating it somewhere and getting a different one. The problem is Xerox doesn't make the low end copiers like the 1255 anymore. Someone told me the Sharp is made by Xerox but it is not the same and I am questioning that statement by the salesman now.
