I wanted a good TV to replace my 2-year-old 32" RCA. There was nothing wrong with that TV, but the picture quality left alot to be desired. I wanted a flat tube TV, and this was the first one I looked at. It had a much better warranty (1-year labor), than the Magnavox sitting next to it (90-day labor). What's more both TVs were the same price and had the same features but the Sharp had a better picture and was more stylish. This TV has a comb filter, (most TVs do), and component video input (which most TVs should have), and 3 extra video inputs including S-Video input, when most TVs stop at 2. I took it home and lugged it onto the table and set it up. The picture quality looked great out of the box, much better than my RCA which was 5" bigger. The speakers were kind of tiny sounding, so I just hooked my sat system up to my 20-year-old stereo. The remote is very basic, and could do nothing to control my TiVo system, but I'll live. Overall, good TV for the money, much better than RCA, and has a GREAT picture.
