Some Thing To Brighten Your Day With.
Date of Review: Jan 9, 2008
The Bottom Line: This is a very good thing to have in your possession virtually non-breakable. Highly recommend.
While walking through the Flea-market in Florida one day. I noticed this different looking, what seem to be a flashlight. I tried to turn it on, and it did not work. Then I saw the box it said all you have to do is shake it. So I proceeded to shake it. I all of a sudden heard a rattling noise and felt a weight inside going back and forth. I did this for about 10 seconds. Then I switched it back on. And low and behold, it was as if some said let there be light and presto it worked. There was a very bright light emitting from the end.
They were only asking 5 dollars for this. It was amazing. The thought of never having to put batteries in a flashlight again. The gentleman also said that it was waterproof and that it would float. Well, needless to say I could not try this out there. He also said that this could be run over by a vehicle and it would not break.
This flash is pretty cool looking. You can see through to the insides, you can see the copper windings and the so called battery that is in side. There is some kind of weight that moves when you shake it back and forth. It acts as if it is recharging the light. It is very light weight and if you drop it, the flashlight will only bounce off of the ground. I have dropped this several times and it does the same thing. It always continues to work.
We were so impressed with this we bought quite a few of them and when we got home we placed them all around the house. We also put one in each of the cars. That way when you loose power you don't have far to go. They also come in handy when your car breaks down and you need a light. They do not take up much space so the are also very good to have on those all night camping trips.
We let the kids use them and play and never have to worry about the batteries ever going dead. Our children have even beaten the floor with them and this did not stop them from working. We have had them for a few years now and they seem to just keep on working. I know that at Walgreens they sell them for twice as much.
Well, I prefer to not pay as much for something. These are good for anyone to have around the house or in their possession. The reason that we bought these is we were tired of buying batteries and having to dispose of them properly. We were also tired of grabbing a flashlight and the batteries being dead. Now we don't have to worry about that.
