INTRODUCTION:
The selection of wireless headphones has never been better than it is now. With growing popularity comes increased competition, which has basically eliminated the days of fuzzy sounding wireless headphones with uncomfortable frames.
SOUND QUALITY:
First off, let me say these headphones have the best bass I've ever heard in anything less than a full size speaker. For music, movies, or radio, these headphones sound great doing it all. The "virtual surround" really does make a difference. Although I have no idea how it actually works, it adds a certain depth to the sound that makes it really seem like there are multiple drivers in the headphones. The trebles are high and crisp, but where these headphones shine is the high to mid bass. Extreme lows are of course lifeless, as you'd expect from anything less than a subwoofer, but the mid bass is excellent. For music from classical to rock, they're more than adequate. I suppose if you listen to a lot of rap music, they might not be the ideal choice. A flaw I've noticed is with interference. The headphones do have three selectable channels, and you might have to change it a couple times to get one without much "fuzz" in the sound. When you hit the right one, the sound is perfect, but it seems to pick up quite a bit of interference, and I'm not sure what from. The sound can also have some very quiet static in the background if you turn the volume on the headphones up very high. The best strategy is to turn the volume way up on whatever they're plugged in to, and then only use a fraction of the available volume on the headphones. The sound quality is by far the best when you do this.
COMFORT:
With extremely large, well padded surrounds, I can honestly say I haven't had a more comfortable set of headphones. Instead of a slick material, it uses a soft fuzzy material that gets a bit warm on the side of your head after an extended period of time, but I still find preferable to the slick plastic or leatherette that other headphones use. The only complaint I have from a comfort standpoint is the bulkiness. These headphones are very large and quite heavy, so they're not ideal for anything other than lounging around the house.
OVERALL:
With an attractive style, an auto-charging docking station, and simulated surround sound, these headphones really are convenient and satisfying to use around the house. Excellent bass and sound depth along with crisp highs make for an enjoyable listening experience as long as you're careful to keep the input volume high and the headphone volume low. These headphones are a bit pricey, no doubt, but are far better than similarly priced Bose counterparts I've used.
