Nice affordable headphone

by   hankwang ,  Jan 27, 2003
Pros: Reasonable sound and comfort
Cons: None
The Bottom Line: I picked these headphones after testing out several in a shop.
Review: I wanted to buy headphones in order to listen to (classical) music while working behind the computer. The primary criteria were: not to expensive, reasonable sound, and comfortable enough to wear during long times. I did not consider ultra...

Pretty Darn Good

by   sk19391 ,  Jun 12, 2007
Pros: Good, comfortable headphones, flexible band, accurate reproduction, long cord, warm, rich tones, good base
Cons: Supraurl design, frequency response could be better.
The Bottom Line: For $35 or so, en excellent buy, especially when compared to even more expensive headphones, highly recommended.
Review: Where do I being, I simply love these headphones. While they do need a break in period of about a week, they sound great afterwards. The headband is foam padded and cloth covered and is generally comfortable, even while wearing glasses. The cord is at a ...

by   bikehorn ,  Jan 2, 2005
Pros: great headphones, well built, not too expensive
Cons: thin, stringy cord and annoying cord-spindle.
The Bottom Line: Darn good for what they are. keep your expensive headphones in your listening room while you wear these outside.
Review: after suffering through weak earbuds and poor-sounding headphones for years, i decided enough was enough. i figured i used a very nice pair of headphones when i mixed live music for different bands, why not have a pair for use with my CD ...

Great sound, but wire break defect..beware!!

by   johnat1251 ,  Oct 15, 2006
Pros: Great sound
Cons: Thin wire breaks easily
The Bottom Line: Avoid these headphones, even though they sound great. Unless you like having to buy a new pair every 2 years.
Review: I have used these headphones for quite a few years but have gone through several pairs. The HD457 have great sound, with a good solid bass, midrange, and treble. A major plus is that these headphones are driven easily by portable music players. They are ...

Decent headphones...but save your penny's!

by   katatonic24 ,  Jan 19, 2004
Pros: Comfortable,sturdy construction.
Cons: Average sound quality...above average price
The Bottom Line: Listen to that little voice in you head that says "Spend!" and dish out a little more cash for a lot more quality in another set of headphones.
Review: This is a hard price range when it comes to headphones on the market today. For those who just want the functionality of a decent set of headphones will easily settle for your run of the mill $15-$20 bud or in-ear set. But when sound quality is a must ...
