WOW these things are great

Date of Review:  Apr 14, 2005
Review: I just purchased a pair of the PXC250 from our local Circuit City and tried them out today while tanning. I had classical music on and heard some low fan noise, but nothing to be bothered by very much. I then turned off the noise canceling feature...

Clear sound pearling down like champagne

Date of Review:  Apr 2, 2005
The Bottom Line: If you are a frequent traveller and you need time-out on your trips, put it on your shortlist and re-discover your music collection.
Review: I am an audiophile, discerning listener. I am also a techno-freak, always on the 'bleeding edge' of technology. I like to listen to sound material only in linear mode (no equalizer or loudness settings) to catch the acoustic mood of the recording...

Sennheiser PXC250 Sound Quality review.

Date of Review:  Feb 19, 2006
The Bottom Line: If sound quality rules over bass punch, buy these headphones. The quality is a good value for the $100 to $150 range.
Review: I am a student working with Sound Engineering, music mixing, and the like. I am in the process of searching out a good pair of headphones for around $120 to $150.

I bought a pair of Sennheiser PXC250 headphones from Circuit City. The first...

Blissful EARgasms

Date of Review:  Nov 3, 2003
The Bottom Line: A bit pricey, but well-worth it for commuters and travelers.
Review: Have you ever been really annoyed by outside noise while listening to music or radio with your headphones? Noise canceling headphones are the blissful answer.

The way noise canceling headphones work is quite simple. Imagine the sound that...

Good for the price (I think!?)

Date of Review:  Mar 2, 2004
The Bottom Line: For noise-cancelling 'phones, these are probably as good as you'll get in this price range, but don't expect miracles.
Review: I spent yonks reading all the reviews of the various option available for noise-cancelling headphones, and came to the conclusion that none of the reviews were conclusive. Here's a summary to save you the time - The Bose 'phones are great, the best,...

Centrios 3319511 better value

Date of Review:  Jul 25, 2005
The Bottom Line: If you can get the Centrios (at half the price), I think it would be a MUCH better choice.
Review: I tried the Sennheiser PXC 250 Consumer Headphones and compared them with the Centrios Active Noise Cancelling Headphones. With the Sennheiser, I found lots of background noise, and unless I was VERY careful, I got a lot of crackling noise. The...

Great reduction in midrange and low-range noise

Date of Review:  Jan 10, 2006
Review: For low volume levels (which is where I want to use them), the headphones (with noise reduction engaged) have very nice sound. Turning the noise suppression off and on is amazing. I would have said that my office was quiet as a tomb. It turns out I...

Not that good

Date of Review:  Dec 30, 2004
Review: I tried both the Sennheiser and the Bose side by side prior to making my selection. The Bose won hands down. The Bose are more comfortable and the sound quality was head and shoulders above the Sennheiser's. I know there is a big price difference...

Absolutely Great Sounding Headphones!

Date of Review:  Jan 27, 2005
The Bottom Line: These are simply the best sounding noise canceling headphones I have heard. I am very pleased with this purchase.
Review: I tried everything. My last attempt at a decent headphone for use in a noisy gym was the Shure E3C "in-ear" headphones. Before trying those out I had been using the Sony MDR-NC20's for the last 6 months. They did cancel the noise out pretty well but...

A Must-Have for Frequent Flyers!

Date of Review:  Mar 24, 2005
The Bottom Line: I would highly recommend this unit to anyone that commutes regularly, or works in an environment with a lot of background noise.
Review: Since I do a lot of flying, this pair of headphones is an absolute godsend. I tried out the Bose QuietComfort II as well as the Sony MDR-NC11, and I think the Sennheiser beats them both for a variety of reasons.

Size and portability:
The...
