Sennheiser HD280 Pro Headphones

Date of Review:  Apr 24, 2007
The Bottom Line: Quality sound, quality manufacturing, very comfortable and a reasonable price. I can thoroughly recommend these headphones.
Review: I am a presenter on local radio and prefer not to share headphones with others so have my own set that touch nobody's ears but mine. I have some very specific needs and kept these in mind when looking for a good set of headphones to use in the...

Good Sound in a Padded Room (Burn-in period required)

Date of Review:  Sep 16, 2004
The Bottom Line: Excellent sound reproduction with a sealed headphone; beautiful flat response with little coloration; low cost for superb quality
Review: Being a lover of good sound, I've become a headphone junkie after quickly discovering the high quality produced by high-end headphones. No longer can speakers satiate my desire for music. Working in a cube farm with managers kind enough to allow...

Sennheiser HD-280 Pro: Not just for pros

Date of Review:  May 4, 2003
The Bottom Line: A product with incredible value. Great sound, completely noise cancelling, and very comfortable.
Review: I bought my HD-280s a while ago after reading great reviews about all the headphones in the Sennheiser line. These cans continue their tradition of incredible sound and great design.

best headphones i've owned

Date of Review:  Oct 21, 2009
The Bottom Line: i definitely recommend this product to anybody who appreciates good sound quality and doesn't listen to music in public or just doesn't care about how he/she looks.
Review: these 'phones are really the most comfortable and best sounding in the price range. I have owned some Grado SR60s and Sennheiser HD 515s and even though both of them are excellent headphones, they do not compare to the HD 280s. These are known for...

Sennheiser HD-280 PRO (Answer FAQ)

Date of Review:  Mar 21, 2004
The Bottom Line: The Sennheiser HD-280, and Grado SR-60 have probably been the most recommended sub-$100 unamped headphones for the past two years.
Review: The Sennheiser HD-280 PRO is sometimes referred to as just HD-280. They are the same headphone. The only other headphone in this price range that offers as good price/performance is the Grado SR-60.

The Sennheiser HD-280 PRO is my best...

Didn't live up to my expectations

Date of Review:  Mar 1, 2008
The Bottom Line: An audiophiles dream, but bassheads may want more.
Review: I own the Sennheiser HD 212Pro cans and wanted to upgrade to these due to the larger drivers, more solid construction and the expectation of increased sound quality all the way around. After listening to them and doing a side by side comparison I...

Sennheiser HD 280 Pro Ear-cup Headphones - Like music for your ears

Date of Review:  Dec 11, 2004
The Bottom Line: Aside from some discomforts, these headphones are what you would call a "bang for your buck." With amazing quality, durability and a 2 year warranty you really can't go wrong.
Review: For a while now my ways of listening to my music library was through $10 Sony ear buds, a $100 JVC boom box and $30 PC speakers, all which were great and sounded very nice. But after I started listening to more and more music I was looking for...

What a Pro Thinks about the Sennheiser HD 280 Pro

Date of Review:  Aug 23, 2005
The Bottom Line: At $68 it's a good buy for home or occasional professional use. Great sound, comfortable & bound to fall apart.
Review: I'm a career radio broadcaster and have been in the business for 34 years. I purchase and use my own 'phones on the air, so I take very good care of them. These 280s have been in use for about ten months for four or five hours a day, five days a...

Great sound isolating headphones that I would not wear in public

Date of Review:  Feb 10, 2008
The Bottom Line: Great set for home use if you don't want to be disturbed by extra noise or disturb others (no leaked sound). Sound quality is phenomenal.
Review: The Sennheiser HD 280 Pro headphones sound amazing for their price. They are a big bit and heavy, and some of my friends have complained that prolonged use of them can put pressure on your head as well as make your ears a little sweaty. They are...

Absolutely Astounding

Date of Review:  Sep 6, 2003
The Bottom Line: Want the best headphones for under 100 bucks? Get these. You won't be disappointed by any means! Want the best period? Still buy from Sennheiser!
Review: Coming from some 20 buck Optimus Nova 71 headphones that I thought sounded great to the Sennheiser HD 280s is an incredible jaw-dropping experience!
I ordered these from newegg.com, which I must say offers the best value and customer...
