Pros: Amazingly clear sound, great isolation, folding design.
Cons: None, really.
The Bottom Line: Highly recommended for anyone wishing to have a true representation of the source, great isolation and excellent value.
This reviewer recommends this product.
Review: I've used the Sony V6 and the newer 7506 for a total of 10 years, since first getting into pro audio. I'd always liked Sennheiser headphones, but they didn't offer anything for the pro. So last year at the AES show, I noticed that the new 280 was at...

Pros: great isolation, decent sound quality
Cons: if you don't need closed headphones, there are better sounding options for the same price
This reviewer recommends this product.
Review: These phones use passive damping for background noise, and it is as effective if not more effective than the Bose QC2 that I used to have.
The sound is not bad at all (better than the bose) , but not exiting either. When they are new they... |

Pros: noise cancellation, terrific quality, coiled, single-sided cable, easy disassembly for replacing parts
Cons: goofy look when worn (not for public)
The Bottom Line: i definitely recommend this product to anybody who appreciates good sound quality and doesn't listen to music in public or just doesn't care about how he/she looks.
This reviewer recommends this product.
Review: these 'phones are really the most comfortable and best sounding in the price range. I have owned some Grado SR60s and Sennheiser HD 515s and even though both of them are excellent headphones, they do not compare to the HD 280s. These are known for...

Pros: excellent sound; really comfortable; look nice; relatively inexpensive
Cons: will the plastic hold up long-term? is the bass shelved down?
The Bottom Line:
I recommend these headphones without reservation. They are comfortable, provide good isolation, and sound great. This reviewer recommends this product.
Review: A friend recently invited me into the studio to record some guitar tracks for an Irish music project he was working on. I grabbed my Larrivee LS-05 acoustic guitar and played three tunes for the project, and then did some over-dubs, playing over...

Pros: Great sound, doesn't take much to power them. Blocks a lot of sound.
Cons: Alright bass. Not as good as open cans.
The Bottom Line: Good cans for portability, won't let any sound out or in so great for privacy. Great sound quality.
This reviewer recommends this product.
Review: When I first received these cans I put them on, after using my Sennheiser 497s and I was disappointed. They just didn't compare to the 497s but I kept reading about having to break them in for at least 30 or 40 hours so I left them playing for about...

Pros: Great sound, great price, good for a wide variety of applications.
Cons: A little bulky, require a burn-in for best sound.
The Bottom Line: These are excellent headphones, especially where outside noise cancellation is a priority. They're well worth your consideration.
This reviewer recommends this product.
Review: Like I lot of people who own the HD280 Pro, I was introduced to these headphones while shopping for something that I could use along with my computer, for listening to music and blasting away on games late at night. That's not what Sennheiser really...

Pros: Needs no expensive amplifier. Inexpensive. Quality/Value. Best at keeping music in, blocking noise out.
Cons: Some comfort issues with pressure squeeze on head. Can't hear the telephone ring.
The Bottom Line: The Sennheiser HD-280, and Grado SR-60 have probably been the most recommended sub-$100 unamped headphones for the past two years.
This reviewer recommends this product.
Review: The Sennheiser HD-280 PRO is sometimes referred to as just HD-280. They are the same headphone. The only other headphone in this price range that offers as good price/performance is the Grado SR-60.
The Sennheiser HD-280 PRO is my best... |
