Pros: great sound, comfortable, sturdy, maintainable, single-side cord
Cons: too large for mobile use, grip may be too firm
This reviewer recommends this product.
Review: Many have commented on the value of these headphones, so I'll just write an express review concurring. These are quality headphones, physically big, strong, and comfy for hours of listening. They seal you off well from your environment and...

Pros: Isolation, separation of sound, comfort, durability.
Cons: Not the deepest bass(but it is accurate)
The Bottom Line: I recommend the Sennheiser 280Pro to anyone who wants closed type headphones for>$100. They are very accurate, provide excellent separation of sound, and also provide great isolation from outside noise.
This reviewer recommends this product.
Review: I recently began radio broadcasting school and needed to get a solid pair of headphones at a reasonable price(under $100). I did alot of research around the internet and asked for opinions from people I know. My friends told me to buy closed cans...

Pros: Sound quality, great pricing, comfort and amazing bass and treble.
Cons: Not too good-looking and can get uncomfortable if worn for too long.
The Bottom Line: Aside from some discomforts, these headphones are what you would call a "bang for your buck." With amazing quality, durability and a 2 year warranty you really can't go wrong.

Review: For a while now my ways of listening to my music library was through $10 Sony ear buds, a $100 JVC boom box and $30 PC speakers, all which were great and sounded very nice. But after I started listening to more and more music I was looking for...

Pros: Clear sound, nice design, features, comfort, prize
Cons: none found
The Bottom Line: I would recommend it to everyone, who is planning to buy some headphones of this prize level and wants to get perfect sound, comfort and other advantages. Definitely excellent product

Review: I collected money for some time to buy my first "real headphones". I knew one thing. It must be Sennheiser HD 280 Pro - design is excellent, circumaural earcups are very comfortable to wear. Sound is very clear, huge and with enough bass and...

Pros: Durable, relatively inexpensive, very effective at sealing against external sounds.
Cons: Pretty uncomfortable, tonal balance and imaging are only average.
The Bottom Line: If you have to have sound-sealing headphones, these are an acceptable choice for the price.
This reviewer does not recommend this product.
Review: As other reviewers have written, the HD-280s are probably some of the "sound sealingest" headphones you can find. I've worn ear protectors while shooting that let through more noise than these do. But the downside of this is that these cans really...

Pros: Sound quality excellent. Sound reproduction accurate. Sound amazingly vibrant and warm.
Cons: Not easily portable. Reveals flaws in source material. Coiled cord.
The Bottom Line: A must buy! For the price ($70-90) you can't beat the sound! Studio quality. Accurate reproduction of sound while bringing the sound to life.

Review: I had read all the reviews before I purchased these earphones and I narrowed it down to the Sennheiser HD280 pro and the Sony V6. The Sennheiser HD 280 had a $10 rebate, so I went for those. I listened to them when I bought them, knowing they...

Pros: Sonic clarity and balance on what matters most: midrange and bass; superb sound isolation.
Cons: Snug fit at first, easily adjustable; slight hiss but goes away after two hours usage.
The Bottom Line: Want the best headphones for under 100 bucks? Get these. You won't be disappointed by any means! Want the best period? Still buy from Sennheiser!

Review: Coming from some 20 buck Optimus Nova 71 headphones that I thought sounded great to the Sennheiser HD 280s is an incredible jaw-dropping experience!

Pros: Powerful sound, good ambient attenuation. Single-sided cord and screw-on 1/8"-1/4" adapter.
Cons: Uncomfortable after long periods of use. Durability and design issues with the headband.
The Bottom Line: If they were stolen, lost or break completely at any point, I'd try some of the older, simpler models like the HD25 before rushing to replace them like-for-like.

Review: 2 1/2 years ago I was looking for some closed-back headphones to complement my open Sennheiser HD600s, and came across the HD280 online after having previously looked at the HD25 and HD25SP. The HD280s look much nicer in my opinion, and I liked...
