Sennheiser RS 45 Consumer Wireless Headphones

I've never owned or shopped for wireless headphones, but with a new baby in the house and a decent home theater system with a large DVD collection, I wanted to be able to stay up late and watch films with decent sound and without waking the family.

My wife picked these up for XMAS based on a high recommendation from a Good Guys salesman. If this is "one of the best" at this price range, I'll go wired.

Background hiss is unbearable on all channels even with only 15 feet of unobstructed distance between me and the transmitter. I also tried different sources (walkman and stereo) and it was a constant problem.

Construction is cheap, reception was spotty even in the same room, and the manual is a joke. Sound (when you hear it through the hiss) was hollow and unimpressive.
