Comfy and sound great

I ordered these after deciding between the Audio Technica's and Sennheiser HD595. I'm not exactly sure why I chose one over the other but now the 595's are on my head and I'm completely happy with my purchase.

Comfort
These are the most comfortable headphones I have ever put on. The pads are extremely soft and don't clamp on your head and the headband has pleather or whatever it is filled with air. Feels really good and you don't notice that they are even on.

Design
Pretty cool design. One part that seems a little flimsy is the thin plastic that connects the headphones to the band and is what you use to change the length of it. Otherwise it's a pretty solid build and Sennheiser offers a 2 year warranty and if they do not cover it you can buy everything separate from them. This is a open headphone so you can hear things around you but I only use them at home so it is not a big deal for me. I have Shure E3C's for isolation. The pads also go AROUND your ear, not rest on them. The plug that connects to the your headphone jack is a 6.9mm (correct me if I am wrong, if that's the size for the big jack) to a 3.55mm jack. It seems to put more stress on the 3.5 plug as there is the big plug attached to it. I think it would have been a better design if they did it the other way around. Either way, it is still good that they at least give you the option of using either one instead of having to buy an adapter from the store.

Sound
Yeah this is usually what people read first. When I first put them on, I was like, WOW, weak bass, but WOW by how clear everything was. After I let them burn-in for awhile, the bass seemed to be stronger and tightened up. I never believed in this ridiculous process, until now. And this is coming from someone who isn't some OCD person that nitpicks everything. Highs, lows, and mids are balanced which makes it a good all-rounder. Every type of music I have played it on has been great. It wasn't very good at rap or classical, it was good across the spectrum. Like Grados are very good for rock and certain Beyer and Sony models are really good for rap. This is just a very balanced can that should be enjoyed by all and can be worn for many many many many hours.

Price
I payed US$169 for them including shipping on DJmart.com. I have heard other people have gotten them for less but anything under 200 should be a good deal since they are $280 on Headroom. Yikes!

Packaging
I don't know if anyone really cares about this but I'll include it. The box had an interesting design but what matters is that the headphones were packed securely and would no way break if they were on the truck being shipped. It also included this little headphone stand that you tighten onto your table which was a very nice addition and lets me hang my 595's somewhere.

Overall
Comfortable, balanced, good sounding headphone for a decent price.
