Only for a real Jarman fan

Pros: Beautiful actors behaving naturally, some poetic language (in translation)

Cons: Length of story, lack of control, not a compelling story

The Bottom Line: It has heavily gay themes and beautiful men, but it is a rough movie not for a casual viewer.

Review: Derek Jarman’s Sebastiane is similar to Sergei Eisenstein’s Battleship Potemkin (reviewed here h ttp://www.epinions.com/content _240756559492): only for serious fans of either director. ...
