Cons: died after 3 hours, requires 2 usb ports.

Purchased for laptop backup. Backed up my laptop 3 times, each job took about an hour. The 4th time I backed up the job got about 5 minutes in and I got a write failure, drive has never been discovered since, tried 4 different machines. Not to slam Seagate too hard here, I have a freeagent 500 GIG, the larger one that stands up and requires external power, and it has worked perfectly for over a year. It is alway online.
