Pros: Pacino's performance
Cons: filthy language
Review: After renting this movie several times and each time being forced to return it without watching it, we finally succeeded in watching it. Mom and I went into having no idea of what the movie was about. All we knew was that it was a movie that Dad had...

Pros: Great story, wonderful acting, powerful scenes, enchanting script
Cons: None
The Bottom Line: A wonderful film with a refreshing script waiting to be discovered again.
Review: There are very few movies that you would want to watch over and over again on a deserted island, but for me, I think this is the movie I would hope to bring with me. Scent of a Woman comes off as clichéd and corny, but this is probably the absolute most ...

Pros: Stunning performance by Pacino. Deep, heartfelt story.
Cons: Some minor gaffes in monologues. Profanity.
The Bottom Line: A rare and beautiful movie about how one man is lost in despair, and how a younger man helps him find his way. Outstanding in every respect.
Review: There are few films that I consider to be truly great. I don't mean 'great' in the pedestrian sense of "that's great." I'm talking "true greatness."
Scent of a Woman has true greatness. It has everything that a timeless... |

Pros: Superb Acting, Powerful Story, Al Pacino
Cons: Too long
Review: "Scent of a Woman" contains one of the most brilliant and beautifully told stories ever captured on modern cinema. Al Pacino lights up the screen as he always does, this time playing a blind, retired US Army officer named Frank Slade. Frank...

Pros: Funny and touching....my two favorite themes
Cons: ending is a little predictable, but good!
Review: Don't let the misleading title of this movie put you off. Far from being about the way a woman smells, this is a well written movie about 2 men, polar opposites ( it would seem) each struggling with life choices. One is plagued with a moral crisis while...

Pros: Pacino is perfect, O'Donnell surprise performance
Cons: Watch the movie for what it is...if you want action do not watch this movie!
The Bottom Line: Pacino was born to play dramatic characters. If you've never seen the movie rent it...then you'll probably buy it.
Review: Basic Plot Details:
Chris O'Donnell is a high school student at a prestigious private school on full scholarship. Al Pacino is a bitter, blind war veteran living with his sister and her family. The sister and her family are leaving on a trip and... |

Pros: Fabulous performances
Cons: some profanity
Review: Colonel Frank Slade (U.S. Army, Ret.) and Charlie Simmons are thrown together by a financial crisis and a physical need: Slade (Al Pacino) is blind, and Simmons (Chris O'Donnell) desperately needs the cash he will earn by "babysitting" Slade...

Pros: A modern masterpiece
Cons: none
The Bottom Line: Fantastic Movie.
Review: Al Pacino had been nominated for nearly ten oscars until he finally picked one the 'Best Actor' gong for his sublime and powerful performance as Col. Frank Slade in 'Scent of a Woman'. Rarely has a man's character, rising from his personal shadows, been...

Pros: Masterful Acting.
Cons: Requires strict attention.
Review: Absolutely a terrific movie. Al Pacino is at his very best in this movie where he plays a blind ex-marine who influences the life of, and in turn is influenced by young prep-school student Chris O'Donnell. These two characters interact in an award...

Pros: acting is a+
