Pros: The FAAKIN dialogue, and the FAAKIN actin'!
Cons: Its FAAKIN depressin', man! Faak!
The Bottom Line: Its a f*ckin good movie, man.
Review: "Her womb is so polluted, I can't even have a f*cking little baby wit'er!" -Tony Montana, on his wife That right there, my little friends, is one of those brilliant and disturbing lines I've heard in a movie. Its brilliant because... I mean, this ...

Scarface (1983) |
|||
|
Pros: Al Pacino and supporting cast
Cons: Graphic violence and strong language limits family appeal
Review: Director Brian DePalmas remake of the 1932 gangster picture "Scarface" is a must-see for all gangster movie fans. DePalma changed Scarfaces character from a Sicilian immigrant in the 1932 picture to a Cuban refugee, but otherwise the plot is...

Review: In 1932, director Howard Hawks and producer Ben Hecht released a gangster film called Scarface about the rise and fall of a 1930s gangster. The film was violent and downright brutal. In the end, Hawks and Hecht's version of Scarface ...

Pros: outstanding story, great acting from Pacino
Cons: long
The Bottom Line: Scarface is an older film which has held up over time, this is a tribute to the story.
Review: The memorable line "SAY HELLO TO MY LIL' FRIEND!" led me to put Scarface on my must see list. I was not disappointed.
Many times, when viewing an older film, much is left to be desired because of updates in special effects and film... |

Pros: Fantastic Characters, Progression. . . Gripping Plot.
Cons: Predictable At Parts.
The Bottom Line: Predictability aside, this gripping movie has remained fresh after nearly 20 years. Better than any of the Italian mob movies, and a fantastic performance by Pacino.
Review: Generally, when I think of being touched by something, its something nice and cutesy. Being Touched By An Angel. Listening to a sweet, touching song. Sitting on a hill and being touched by a sunset. Hearing my friends complain that, that weird old...

Pros: Pacino's over the top, excellant performance, very entertaining.
Cons: Alot of violence and swearing and drugs may put some off.
The Bottom Line: Scarface is one of the greatest films of all time, and is Pacino's benchmark in acting. Even the special effects are great, despite this being the movies 20th aniversary.
Review: My father is South American. My mother is white. Could I be Tony Montana and Elivira's son? Probabley not, because criminal imigrant and cocaine lord of Miami, Tony Montana, is not going to win husband of the year. Al Pacino plays the Montana, better ...

Pros: Pffeiffer, Bauer, and Pacino do great things for their characters
Cons: -
The Bottom Line: The greatest gangster film of all time. Enough said.
Review: Gangster fan or not, I think there's a little something for every red-blooded American in this flick, Scarface. Trying to think of just one word to describe Scarface is nearly impossible to manage. Controversial, incredible, violent, vulgar, ...

The Bottom Line: See the movie for Al Pacino's fantabulous acting!

Pros: Al Pacino's acting. The action and drama. The pace of the movie.
Cons: The movie ended!
The Bottom Line: A must see flick with amazing acting by Pacino.
Review: I first watched Scarface on VHS ten years ago and It's still my favorite movie. I've watched it over 50 times and it's still a pleasure to watch. Maybe it's because it features my favorite actor Al Pacino, or maybe it's my fascination with mob related...
