by   suedenn ,  May 24, 2000
Pros: very good tasting
Cons: exspensive
Review: A few years ago a friend introduced me to this brand of tequila. three generations tequila. it was one of the best margaritas i have ever had.
not very many restaurants carry this brand. It is on the exspensive side, but it's worth it.
and i...

The Best Tequila, The End

by   jrundle ,  Aug 24, 2000
Pros: Great taste, great price vs value
Cons: Hard to find.
Review: Tequila lovers rejoice! Here is the jewel among stones; Tres Generaciones is the tequila lovers nirvana.

Mellow yet flavorful you need to keep it away from the margarita mix--this ones for toasting. Tequila at three times the price can't...

One of the best sipping anejos

by   aguapologist ,  Aug 7, 2007
Pros: Smooth, complex, great for sipping.
Cons: Too good for margaritas.
Review: I have spent a good amount of time in Mexico, off the beaten path, and so far this is my favorite anejo tequila. For a more versatile tequila (because I won't put anejo in a margarita), I drink Herradura Reposado (which seems to be the favorite of most ...

Best Margarita Ever

by   espud ,  Jul 25, 2004
Pros: exceptionally flavorful
Cons: none come to mind
Review: The best margarita I've ever had was made with the Sauza Tres Generaciones Anejo Tequila. After only two sips I knew it was the best tasting margarita I'd ever had and I asked for the name of the tequila. It was an exceptionally smooth and full-flavored ...

My Day in Tequila Town - Sauza

by   4-1-1 , top reviewer in Restaurants & Gourmet at Epinions.com ,  Aug 26, 2001
Pros: Quality production, Sauza tradition. Reasonably priced and widely available.
Cons: Medium-bodied, some may say it's too mild. Can't think of any real negatives.
The Bottom Line: 100% Blue Agave Tequila. Not the world's best, but very affordable. Some other tequilas cost over $250 per bottle, at least this world-class tequila is affordable.
Review: Last Wednesday, my wife and I traveled to Tequila, Mexico, in Jalisco state. This is the only place in the world were true Tequila is made.

We visited the Sauza plantation (Rancho El Indio) and saw first hand how the blue agave plant --...

Improved with the new presentation

by   anejospirit ,  May 7, 2004
Pros: >Nice combination of aromas
Cons: raw agave and no cooked agave
The Bottom Line: Nice up scale anejo, could be better with more traditional tequila taste.
Review: Sauza is a company with a lot of history, Cenobio Sauza established it in 1873 and they claim to be the first tequila ever to be sent into the United Estates. Also among the things that I found about this distillery is that they were the first to use ...

Smooth, Light and Mild

by   bettega ,  Sep 5, 2006
Pros: Crisp, clean flavor. Smooth finish, without harshness. Excellent quality to price ratio.
Cons: Mild flavor may not conquer afficionados. Smooth finish leads to excessive consumption.
The Bottom Line: For a smooth, easy to drink tequila it is unbeatable in its price range
Review: I believe this Tequila has been revamped from a mixto tequila to a 100% agave tequila. There is a big difference in that change, because 100% agave is like saying "single malt", whereas mixto is only 51% agave. The rest is cheap fermented sugars which ...

A name that does not match

by   lirubis , top reviewer in Restaurants & Gourmet at Epinions.com ,  Sep 25, 2003
Pros: A widely accepted añejo for those who prefer the classic, hard añejo tequilas.
Cons: No smoothness. Needs more agave presence in the flavor structure. Slightly bitter finish.
The Bottom Line: Perhaps you like strong and hard añejos, full of robust oak notes and hard texture. A rare añejo that is powerful but lacks true agave feeling.
Review: Several readers are asking me to update many of my tequila reviews, and I agree in part because so many things have changed in the local tequila industry over the last years that, in honest analysis, most reviews about tequilas 2 or 3 years ago may be ver ...
