My first and best projector
Pros:
Quiet. Easy installation. Three year warranty.
Cons:
Nada
The Bottom Line:
Out of the several comparable models on the Street, Panasonic PT-AE9000U included, this model wins out with overall features and the length of its warranty.

Sanyo PLV-Z4 Multimedia Projector
My ex-boyfriend gave me this Sanyo Projector as a birthday gift, and I don¡¦t think I will ever be able to go back to the old 36 inch TV after the experience. º I think he got it from B&H Photo or something like that because you also get a $300 Bulb Coupon with the purchase.
What I like most about this projector
Affordable. I am not sure if Sanyo PLV-Z4 has the lowest price in its class or not, but I don¡¦t several hundred dollars matter to anyone who looks to set up her/his home theater.
Go, HD, go. Unlike some Infocus units that we checked out earlier, this projector is a true HD. HDMI is the term, which stands for High Definition Multimedia Interface for Digital Video and Digital Audio.
Easy installation, not that I had to spend any efforts installing it myself. º I think the time it took from when the projector was unpacked till I sat in my sofa and watching Johnny Depp waving his sword was only less than an hour.
Not that I can count that many, but the spec says that it has 1 billion colors. From what I can see, it preserves the high resolution and original color of the movies that I made on my computer really well.
The machine comes with 3 year warranty, which is TWO years longer than the Panasonic projector that I was checking out earlier.
It is very quiet during its operation. I can barely hear the noise while it is playing.
From what I have read about this projector, it is the world's first LCD projector with a remarkable 7000:1 contrast ratio coupled with 1000 lumens of brightness.
Cool Features:
Twin IRIS - a variable power lens iris as well as a lamp iris.
A wide range lens
Capable of a 100-inch image from 9.8 to 20 feet.
It has a wide range lens shift, with 100% up/down offset and 50% left/right offset.
Comparables
Panasonic PT-AE9000U is a comparable good projector, but again, with 1 year on the warranty, I wouldn¡¦t know what to do if it breaks right out of the warranty period, which they normally do.
Shhh, an alternative: If you want to get Panasonic PT-AE900U instead. You can get it at Costco where you cannot beat the return policy... Here¡¦s a link: http://www.costco.com/Browse/Product.aspx?Prodid=11110043&whse=BC&topnav=&browse=
