A Third Dose of Holiday Fun with Santa Clause

|
Pros: Fun story, great acting
Cons: No Bernard, Canada jokes, eh?
The Bottom Line: If you enjoyed the first two, you'll enjoy the latest clause.
Review: Christmas is coming, and things are busier then ever at the North Pole. Not only does Scott Calvin, aka Santa (Tim Allen), have to get ready to deliver toys all over the world, but his wife Carol (Elizabeth Mitchell) is getting ready for a delivery of ...

Definitely a Movie Worth Seeing

Pros: A great family, Christmas movie
Cons: You have to have seen the first two
The Bottom Line: Buy it.
Review: Santa Clause 3: The Escape Clause is the third in a series of movies. There is a cast of stars in this one; the most notable being Tim Allen and Martin Short. The general synopsis involves Jack Frost played by Martin Short taking over as Santa Clause. ...

Pros: Better than Santa Clause 2
Cons: Predictable , no Bernard the head elf, and Martin Short can be too much
The Bottom Line: Better than the second Santa Clause but not as good as the original
Review: This is Tim Allen's third outing as Scott Calvin, aka Santa Claus. In the first film, we saw how Scott became Santa. In the second, we saw how he meets Mrs. Claus. And in this chapter, he battles Jack Frost as a potential successor to ...

Pros: The North Pole looked better than ever, Alan Arkin
Cons: Bad script, Martin Short's comedic abilities did not have enough room to make us laugh.
The Bottom Line: This was a serious let down, yet the kids may still like it, the only downside is you may have to watch with them.
Review: When I was in Florida in 2006, this Santa Clause 3 movie was in the theaters, and my son wanted to take a couple of hours from our Disney schedule to go and see it while we were there. Unfortunately, we couldn't find the time to make for going to ...

Escape from Santa Claus

Pros: Tim Allen, Martin Short
Cons: Head elf and fake setting
The Bottom Line: Even at Xmas, it may be wise to escape from Santa Claus.
Review: The plot and dialog are dull, but what's more irritating besides the artificial, low-budget North Pole setting is the plastic acting performed by Head Elf - Curtis. Curtis (Spencer Breslin) exaggerates his acting and behaves as if he's reading from a ...

Part three in the Santa Clause trilogy, and hopefully the last of the series

Pros: sadly there are none
Cons: no originality, mis-casting of Martin Short, contrived plot, weak in story, not funny
The Bottom Line: This one is not recommended because it is not funny, nor is it geared towards an audience that would enjoy the contrived story.
Review: A third film in this series was to be expected with the success of the first two 'Santa Clause' films. Well Tim Allen is back with Santa Clause 3: The Escape Clause. If anyone missed the first two films, Tim Allen is Santa Claus and has not only ...

Third (and hopefully final) movie in the "Santa Clause" series

Pros: Tim Allen
Cons: Originality, creatvity, too boring, bad storyline.
The Bottom Line: This is just a lame movie. Watch the first "Santa Clause" movie if you want to see a good Santa movie.
Review: Santa Clause comes down the chimney, and this time comes with a big thud. "The Santa Clause 3: Escape Clause," is the third and hopefully last time Tim Allen will suit as the old and redudant old Saint Nick. I enjoyed the first Santa Clause movie with ...

Pros: None
Cons: The script, Martin Short, no Bernard, and on and on and on and on and
The Bottom Line: Watching the aquarium would have been more entertaining but if you want to watch a holiday movie at home, rent Santa 1 or 2 but NOT 3.
Review: Two of my all-time favorite holiday movies have been permanently scarred through association with a third (and hopefully final) release. Last year's anticipated box-office success recently made it to video and I'm wishing I had seen Santa Clause 3: ...

Buy Evan Almighty or Ratatouille Instead...do NOT buy this movie!

Pros: Still trying to find one.
Cons: $25 and 90+ minutes lost forever. Sigh, what a waste.
The Bottom Line: Final recommendation? Evan Almighty, Ratatouille, or Transformers were 10 times better. Do not waste your money on this! For a holiday movie for kids, get the Muppet Christmas Carol.
Review: Ok, I am smart enough to admit when I've made a mistake, and boy was this a big one! Santa Clause 3 - The Escape Clause came out on dvd today...(really?, I looked forward to this?) In my defense, I honestly thought that it might be a good movie (I feel ...

Pros: Good for very young kids.
Cons: Not very funny, not great acting, empty plot, and lots of fluff
The Bottom Line: Stick with the first movie and pretend this was never made.
Review: The Escape Clause is the third installment in the Santa Clause trilogy, the first of which has become a Christmas favorite and very funny, but the second was less enjoyable and by the third the trilogy has lost its appeal completely. Full of corny jokes ...
