Quality card for less

I have bought nothing But Sandisk products since starting with digital cameras. I have never had any problems with them, whether is be, SD cards, XD cards, or Compact flash cards. Before buying this card I have two 512mb compact flash cards. I have never lost any pictures on any one of these cards. A complaint I would have about the other two CF cards is that they are slow. I do have a Sandisk Thumb drive that has had some issues but never had had problems with the memory cards.

This card is the Ultra II card. Maybe it is too soon to tell but I didn't see a noticable difference between this card and the regular speed Sandisk CF cards. I took a burst of 3 shots and compare burst was over, I timed the time it took for the little flashing red "CF" light to go out. I was using a Canon Digital Rebel shooting in RAW mode. Both took 20 seconds to finish processing the images. Maybe it wasn't fair to use two different size cards, but I don't see how it matters.

Based on this test I don't know if I would spend the extra money for the Ultra II card versus the basic card. Maybe in Jpeg mode, it would be faster. Since I have never had problems with these cards however, I will still recommend the card for reliability.
