Great but not perfect

The Bottom Line: A good unit and well worth the money. While not perfect, you get a lot of bang for your buck!!
I was given this unit for Christmas. I am one of those people who tend not to buy something because it is the "coolest" or "hippest" thing out there (e.g. ipod). I really like Sandisk products so I was happy to give this unit a try. Overall I have been happy with its performance. The styling is sleek and clean, the screen is bright and vibrant and the list of features is impressive. Battery life is excellent and I really like the fact it has a built in FM tuner with a record option...very cool. I was also impressed with the ability to add SD cards if needed. Just a lot of stuff here for your money.
Unfortunately, it is not perfect. Of particular annoyance was the button design. The jog dial is nice but the buttons around the dial are almost flush with the unit and very difficult to press with a case on or large fingers. Trying to do it while jogging was less then a joy. I was also less-then-thrilled with the backwards software design. Trying to jump around from album to album is more difficult then it should be.
I would still recommend this unit and a good choice for those who are on the anti-ipod wagon. It is a solid unit that looks to last for a long time.
