I'm not an electronics geek I'm just a mom !

After having numerous computer problems with start-up/shut-down and having trouble with just about every computer application we decided to take our computer in to have it checked out and looked at by the man who built it...

What I didn't do or didn't know I should do rather was back-up or save any of our documents, pictures or other precious information. So, when we got the computer back and the entire computer was reformatted it was indeed a VERY sad day ! I not being the most computer savvy person on the block didn't realize that ALL my pictures were erased from the hard drive. The picture's of the day my children were born, birthdays, holidays and vacations. I was able to get back some of them from family/friends but, most were lost.. So, I really really wanted an easy and fast way to back-up information from my computer.. I initially thought that we should get an external hard drive. We'd seen them for about $60 and that seemed resonable but, bulky.

My husband also NOT computer savvy was at BEST BUY checking things out he had a coupon. He saw these handy little gadgets by SANDISK The CRUZER MICRO 4 GB ! I think with the coupon it was around $20 which fit our budget as well ! For the novice in computers it would solve our back-up problem. He brought it home and al though it took awhile to release from the horrible and dangerous blister pack it was ready to go.

I'm amazed at the size of this product it's really small about the size of a stick of gum ! I'm afraid I'm going to lose to it so I put a key ring on it and hang it from a bulletin board ! I DO wish it had some sort of hanging thingie on it !

I plugged it into the computer and it had software included so I didn't have to fuss with anything. There's a bunch of programs and things on it.. However, ALL I was concerned with was transfering my few hundred photo's onto another device.. Which was quite easy. You just open/name the file and select all ! It also didn't take all that long a few minutes.

I'm also able to seperate images/documents and any other information into folders just like on my hard drive ! So, I can keep my documents seperate from my husbands !

I like that the information tip that plugs into the computer has a "switch" to pull it in/out and that when the device in in-use it lights up and when you want to take it out of the computer the light goes off ! This product is really nice for someone that needs EXTRA/SAFE storage.. It's also super portable ! A must have for every home computer !
