I couldn't decide whether to buy the standard cruzer or the titanium version (supposedly tougher) but decided on the standard plastic version to save some dough.
After about 4 months of dropping, throwing, and stepping on my keys, this usb key is as sturdy and my data is as safe as ever.
The Cruzer has a number of advantages over a standard usb key. First of all, the retracting usb connector is ideal, as I always had a habit of losing the caps on traditional usb sticks. This also makes the unit more durable, as an exposed usb is vulnerable to getting bent, or getting lose over time. Not so with the retractable usb of the cruzer.
Beyond the super-smart design, this unit comes with very useful software. As someone who needs to store confidential business files on my usb key, the built in password protection was just what I needed, and it's implemented very well. The usb key contains all the necessary software preloaded, and will instantly install even when plugging the key into a new machine.
What else can I say? The read/write times are fast, the casing is holding up really well, and I've bought one for my father, fiance, and recommended them to friends.
These things are popular for a reason (and it's not just good marketing and distribution channels) These are quality sticks for your stuff.
