Product Review

Bad move; Went down hill fast!

by   twoxcell ,   Feb 26, 2007

Pros:  Nice compact package, simple to use, came with some really good software.

Cons:  Poor picture quality, needs plenty of light, alot of glitches, dv eater! Looks are deceiving!

Overall Rating: 1/5 stars

Author's Review

I chose the Samsung sc-d353 for the excellient price and all the loaded features in a tiny compact mini dv camcorder. In the beginning, I noticed something very puzzling: Low quality video and it takes really bad snap shot pictures. My first camcorder was a 8mm GE, and the video quality was actually alot better if you can believe that! I used the Samsung any way, trying to get my money's worth out of it and because all relations used mini dvs. The Samsung was down right horrible in low light situations even with the color nite shutter turned on. "Glitches" would come and go like a "no tape" message while I was trying to record. It would also eat the dv's eject from time to time. Today(2-25-07), a year and two weeks after I had purchased it, it ate three of my dvs and freaks out ejects every time I try and load a dv!
