Wow and I thought the 214T was great

Date of Review: Oct 11, 2007

The Bottom Line:  Huge, bright, brilliant and love Portrait Mode
I had 2 213T's in Landscape and 2 214T's in Portrait. After about 1.5yrs one of the 214T's went out. But Samsung has 3 yr warranty but no longer make the 214 which was the newer version of the 213T. They were going to send me a refurbished one but then called back and offered me a 245BW for a $100 upgrade fee.

Ironically I was looking at local store and fell in love with the 245BW which I bought for a 5th unit. Then the $100 offer came which I took. Wow, what a huge, bright, brilliant screen! It makes my 213T's and remaining 214T look washed out and pale by comparison!

The store price for the 245BW is now less than what I paid for the 214T.

I am very happy with Samsung and their offer - now have two 245BW's in Portrait mode (great for web pages and many other things), a 214T Portrait and 213T Landscape mostly for my desktop, I find myself using Portrait screens much more (with UltraMon to move between screens).

The remaining 213 I have for clients to see, which am setting up as a mirror for one of my other Portrait Screens.

I have two NVIDIA GeForce 7800GT video cards - dual DVI on both. I hope to mirror using a DVI splitter cable instead of having to use a 3rd video card.
