SERIOUS DEFECTS (KNOWN TO SAMSUNG)

Bought this TV (by the way it's STANDARD DEF not HD) October 2007 as a stop-gap measure until I can afford a bigger screen and go High def.
I'm glad I bought Circuit City's extended protection Plan.
It had serious geometric distortion on the sides. and bottom. A tech came to house and tweaked it but it never really got much better.
A month later, the sound became a problem (volume constantly fading in and out while someone was speaking) and tech ordered entire NEW BOARD. Sound got better but now the COLOR was LOUSY. No matter how much I adjusted it, I was getting a green hue on everything. The blacks were green. Once again another tech came to the house and he also could not get good color. He agreed this board was faulty and ordered a 2ND BOARD but now, 2 weeks after the order went in, they tell me that Samsung no longer makes this TV (wonder why?!!@!@???) and there is no replacement part for it.
I've been promised a "comparable" TV from Circuit City and Samsung. It'll be interesting to see what they deem as "comparable". This experience has made me so wary of Samsung  (my first Samsung experience) that I will not buy any TV of theirs again.
