You know what they say about 1st impressions

by   keye1122 ,  Aug 26, 2007
Pros: Slim design, great picture and sound & good price-point
Cons: The 1st one did break...read review
The Bottom Line: Less than $400, stop & stare digital picture and sound. Great find.
Review: Wow...I've never owned a nice TV. Never. I'm the "posada de moda," individual in 07' that's sitting there watching a TV with aluminum foil on the rabbit ears to pick up an extra channel or two. I still don't have cable, nor satellite, but I do ...

Fine television

by   scamo ,  Aug 9, 2007
Pros: Slim design, styling, picture quality.
Cons: Weight, "alerting sounds" designed into unit made upon initial power-up.
Review: No complaints/problems in the 10 months or so that I've owned this set so far. Attractive styling and very good picture quality for a non-HD unit; does not appear to have the defects/bugs that I've read so many of the SlimFit HD units have. The slim ...

Unrelieable

by   jls1967 ,  Dec 11, 2007
Pros: Great picture, 2 HDMI ports, Great Sound, easy to set up and affordable.
Cons: This units tear up too easily and are costly to repair.
The Bottom Line: Unless you like rolling the dice that you will get a good one, I would stay away from this TV.
Review: I purchased this set in July 06 and had it approx. 15 month's when the picture went out on it. Up until that point, I was very satisfied with the set. When I took the set to an authorized Samsung repair service center and the repairman was not surprised ...

SERIOUS DEFECTS (KNOWN TO SAMSUNG)

by   zuzu98 ,  Oct 30, 2008
Pros: Classy looking cabinet
Easy remote
Cons: Geometric distortion
Seriously bad color distortion
The Bottom Line: Do not buy this TV!  Mine is less than a year old and within that short time, it needed 2 new replacement boards, neither of which solved the problems.
Review: Bought this TV (by the way it's STANDARD DEF not HD) October 2007 as a stop-gap measure until I can afford a bigger screen and go High def.I'm glad I bought Circuit City's extended protection Plan.It had serious geometric distortion on the ...

TX-T2782 is not HDTV. It's an SDTV. Check Samsung website.

by   slartybartfars ,  May 2, 2008
Pros: NONE
Cons: NO PICTURE, NO SOUND AFTER 5 MONTHS USE!!!
Review: Totally unacceptable t.v.!!! All the T.V. repairmen know exactly what part needs to be replaced in these brand new Samsung TX-T2782 SDTV's (standard definition t.v.'s) It is not an HDTV in my region (as the other Epinion person inferred it was). I don't ...

**Stay Away** - dead after 5 weeks

by   gcs363 ,  Feb 1, 2008
Pros: Good picture and sound quality, easy to set up, lots of inputs.
Cons: Poor build quality - dead after 5 weeks.
Review: I bought this TV to use as the secondary and for use with a game system. The price was reasonable, especially versus a similar sized flat panel. I'm not going to that much money for a TV. After 5 weeks it stopped working. Until then the picture and ...

Please save your money!

by   hike7 ,  Apr 9, 2008
Pros: Slim fit, but doesn't work
Cons: Doesn't work!
Review: OK, I read the reviews before I bought the TV and realized that maybe Samsung was not know for a quality TV. But I liked the slim fit idea and figured even if it lasts a year or two, that would be ok. Well 2-weeks after the 90 day warantee expired it ...

Samsung TX-2782 SDTV is a Piece of Crap!

by   tv_lover ,  Nov 28, 2008
Pros: Price, slim style.
Cons: The picture went out on it after only 10 months!! Piece of crap.
Review: I bought this television from Best Buy just before the Super Bowl this year. It was a great price, because it was the last of the non-HD digital televisions. The television has worked fine up to this point. Today (day after Thanksgiving), when I turned ...
