The video via hdmi is unparalleled.

Date of Review: Jul 13, 2006

I bought the Samsung HD-960 dvd player and paired it up with my Mitsubishi 82" DLP projection TV. The Mits 82 inch is the biggest TV in the world and will test the quality of any dvd player. I hooked up the Samsung HD-960 via HDMI and set it to 720P. I channeled the sound directly to my Pioneer Vsx 59txi receiver via optical cable. I'm here to tell you boys and girls, the picture is breathtaking and nothing less than life-like.
When Sony's Blu-ray and Toshiba's hi-def complete their turf war I will upgrade to the winner because that's what I do. But until then, the Samsung HD-960 will remain on my shelf.

Pros
The best dvd player currently on the market for the money.
Cons
After the movie has been on two minutes, I no longer notice blue lite.
