Samsung's BD-P1500 Blu-ray player allows me to upgrade and keep my DVDs, too!

Though maybe I could have waited another year to go Blu-ray, I think the BD-P1500 is a good player for videophiles with lots of DVDs.

Review: I wasn't really planning on getting a Blu-ray player for a while yet; I still remember both the exhilarations and frustrations of the transition from VHS to DVD only a decade ago and I really didn't want to start replacing my entire 100-title DVD...

The Bottom Line:

Unlike other components, the quality of a blu-ray player rests on the quality of its firmware updates.  Samsung falls down in this area.  Do not buy this product.

Review: I bought the BD-P1500 blu-ray player because it was discounted with my new Samsung TV.  From the beginning, it didn't play certain blu-ray discs, but the store told me that maybe the discs were defective.  It also did not take advantage of features...

Review: Samsung has done it again! I am very happy with this Blu Ray player that I bought about a year ago. The picture is amazing for both blu ray discs and dvds. My only complaint is that it takes a while to load. Very easy to use.
