Junk. Beware.

Pros:  It comes in black. Whopee

Cons:  VCR breaks. DVD "upconvert" picture has noise

Overall Rating: 1/5 stars

Author's Review

After a week of ownership, I tried putting a VCR Tape in to tape a movie and it jammed up, then ate the tape. I took it back, hoping it was a fluke. The new one did the same thing. Gee, VCRs have been mainstream for 20 years and Samsung can't get the technology right? Plus I noticed the "wonderous" upconvert process for the DVD actually looks really bad, worse than my old DVD player (which was "regular"). The picture comes out very grainy/noisy in places. I only have a low-end 32" LCD TV... maybe it would look better on a smaller or larger TV? I wouldn't gamble on it. Thank god I spent $50 for that now-worthless HDMI cable.
