Greatest TV ever owned

I researched hundreds of 16X9 TV's including Plasma, TFT and Rear Projection. I never cared for the bulk of old rear projectors or the narrow field of view until the newest DLP technology emerged. This TV is only 13.8" deep! It takes so little space behind and although I can't hang it on the wall, It sits on my entertainment unit and stands from the wall only the depth on my center surround speaker, which would look really odd with a Thin Plasma and big center protruding over the top. The viewing angle is an acute 50 degrees from center, so I can sit at my kitchen table and see the glorious color from a 50 degree angle in my living room. Big Plus and enhancement from the old technology. This TV has many advantages over plasma in addition to price. Plasmas can burn in a static Image. Given that my kids are notorious for starting an XBOX game and leaving the paused image while they are distracted for hours. This would kill a plasma. Plus, for gaming, rear projection and CRT's have a quicker response over plasma/TFT Sets. Finally, Plasmas can suffer from Pixel-migration, where the image degrades on the form on pixelization spreading over time and never returning to the intended position. The High Def is so awesome. I never appreciated the view from the store like I do in my livingroom. Definately invest in HD programming! This TV cannot be knocked over and viewing plane is durable plastic. Parents will appreciate these virtues.
