Great TV for price

When looking for a tv now, you have 2 clear options. LCD vs DLP. LCD prices have come down so much, but start getting spendy when you get into the 50" range- which is the reason a DLP TV is a great choice.

The tv is bright, but yet has a decent level of black balance for those dark scenes. It has a great spectrum of color and appears natural but yet vibrant. The size is great for multiple viewers or for a dedicated home theater room where many have to see the screen. I have not noticed any motion blur as the technology has been advanced from a color wheel to LED technology. There are a fair amount of menu options to tweak the colors if you so desire. There are a few preset options if you want to try those first. This tv also has 3 HDMI inputs, numerous other audio/video inputs/outputs and even a computer input which I use. Overall, you will not be lacking connection choices although you really should only be using HDMI connections at this point in time.


This is my 2nd DLP set from Samsung and am comparing it to Sony and other competitiors and am summarizing from some other reviews in home theater magazines. It currently resides in a dedicated home theater room 22' wide x 30' deep with high end audio, Onkyo TX-SR805 THX select 2 receiver, PS3, Toshiba HD-A35HDDVD, and hoooked up to a desktop computer.


Look for this one on Amazon where you will get it for a few hundred dollars less than what a retail store in your area will have it for.
