Beautiful Clear Picture For This DLP TV

My husband talked me into spending our Christmas bonuses on this DLP TV this past year. I had no clue how nice the picture would be, since we had never had an HD television before. I was very surprised at how clear and vibrant the picture was.

We spent lots of time shopping the different types of technology, LCD, DLP and Plasma. After seeing this Samsung in action, there was no question. The colors were brilliant and the speed seemed superior to most TVs we looked at. I was sold instantly.

Other than the size of it (since it isn't flat) we really have had an awesome experience so far. We bought a Samsung DVD player at the same time and the two work together extremely well - same remote without programming.

The menu system is easy to use, very user-friendly. Setup was a breeze, not to mention the fact that the TV was super easy to move and didn't weigh much at all. We were watching HD programming in no time at all.

We bought both HDMI & component setups and both seemed about the same. When the TV looks as good as this one does, you can't tell the difference. We have since bought an LCD (for size reasons) and hung it in the bedroom. The picture is nicer on the DLP and no skipping on some HD feeds.

The sound on this tv isn't all that great, but normal at worst.

All in all, I can't complain about this one.
