Author's Review
We recently purchased a Sony Cybershot DSC-S730digital camera to replace my old Sony Mavica Digital camera. It is small, not much bigger in area than a credit card, and about 1/2" thick. It comes with a lanyard to secure it to your wrist for carrying around. The price was more than reasonable and the pictures it takes are amazing. I by no means am a professional photographer, but all it takes is a quick familiarization of the camera and you will be taking pics almost as good as the pros in no time flat.
The user manual is very easy to read, and well laid out. The index in the back is especially helpful, if you are like me and like to play with your toys before you learn all about them, like my wife likes to do. There is also a feature to take movies with the camera, we have taken several that are as good as our video camera. The view screen on the back of the camera is large and easy to understand, you can access the in camera menu with a rotating bezel, just to the right of the screen.
Picture storage is easy, and convenient on the data cards, normally available for purchase separately. The data card is inserted in the bottom of the camera, inside the batterey compartment. You simple press it in to install, and to remove, you push it in again and it will pop out approximately 1/4".
The price was very reasonable, mainly because I get a military discount, but we found it online for less than $120 plus we got a 512Mb data card free.
