Battery eater

I bought this camera for my wife for her birthday. she opened it and put in the batteries that came with it. then she took about 5 pictures and turned the camera off and we went out to eat. when we got home, she turned the camera on and it immediately said "Low Battery" and turned off. we took a pair of fairly new engergizer e2 lithium batteries out of our other camera and put them into the new camera. she took about 10 pictures that night.

the next day, she tried to take some more pictures and the screen again said "low battery" and turned off. angry, i called samsung support and they said to try rechargeable batteries and that i should get 2.5 hours of continued use from them. we went and bought some rechargeable engergizer batteries. we took a few pictures with those after letting the batteries charge for about 12 hours (package recommended at least an 8 hour charge). now, the next day, the batteries were so dead that the camera wouldn't even turn on. we took maybe 2 or 3 pictures when the batteries were fresh.

i'm returning this camera to wally world and i'm not exchanging for another one. samsung really dropped the ball with this product. i will never buy another samsung camera.
