Bringing the world of DVD quality to portable DVD players

The Bottom Line: Will entertain the family and friends anywhere....
After owning a low quality portable DVD player for a few years, I decided to do my research and came across the Samsung Portable DVD player. While I was hesitant at first to shell out 400 dollars for a DVD player since I already had one, I decided to give it the go ahead after doing my research, and purchasing it has been one of the best choices I have ever made.
To start out, its a great DVD player for the adults as well as children. The past summer when I went on a road trip with my family, I used it to entertain my children for over 20 hours, with no issues with battery conflicts because its easily charged in the car.
To start out, I'll list a few of the features that I think are important when you consider purchasing a portable DVD player.

-screen size
-picture quality
-sound
-battery life
PRICE
While the price is a bit expensive for a portable DVD player, it is definitely worth the extra hundred or so dollars. From my research, I found that other players do not have as long of battery life, picture quality, or sound. After using the DVD player for a while, you will start to notice how amazing the product is, rather than all the little things your finding out are wrong with it.
SCREEN SIZE
While many people feel like a 5" screen for 199 dollars is a great bargain, they soon find out how small a 5" screen is. When you are trying to watch a DVD movie, 5" doesn't cut it at all (as I can speak from experience). I'd definitely recommend at least an 8" DVD player if your planning on using it a lot, and 10" provides even more amazing picture and quality for movies and television shows than I could ever have expected.
PICTURE QUALITY
This was the main feature that convinced me to purchase the Samsung DVD-L300. After looking at all the other players at various electronic stores, every single person recommended the Samsung DVD player to me for its exceptional picture quality. The player also offers features to adjust brightness, zoom, speeds, and has features for video output (which allows you to use it as a normal DVD player for a tv)
SOUND
Sound quality is another important feature for DVD players. Since most people are just listening to it in public, I feel like it provides a superior sound quality to my past DVD player, and the sound quality is even further exemplified if you use headphones (2 separate pairs can be attached). In addition, it offers features such as Dolby Digital surround sound, which is amazing when I hook it up to my speakers at home.
BATTERY LIFE
Battery life is a big deal if your on the road or don't want to have the bother of continuously recharging a DVD player after you watch a two hour movie. The player says it can last for approximately 4.5 hours, however, I have had it last up to 6 hours before and I usually just leave it charge in the car (if my children are watching it on a road trip or just going to the store).
Overall....I'd say this is one of the best investments I have made in a product that will entertain the family and provide superior quality.
