great player and great price

The Bottom Line: Grt image & sound.Newest features,divx,mpeg4,HD ready with outputs. Grt quality & price. Durability? Extd warranty for 3 yrs $25. After 3 yrs it's time 4 new tech DVD pler anyway.

Easy setup with RCA cables.
Plays everything. I played a DVD+R that I had burned and I also tested the DivX avi files. I burned 4 avi files on a DVD and it played them without any problems...

Review: Contarary to the previous reviewers comment about this player being "hD ready"...it is NOT!!
This is an upscaling player which scales a SD Standard Definition Signal from a standard DVD up to a higher definition.

Review: I bought this DVD for my Sharp aquos 720p LCD, to tune up my standard def DVD's. I am hooked up using monster HDMI, and I find the picture muddy and background blurry. Not impressed. Hooked up my old DVD player and called it a night.

time to upgrade but best player ive ever had

Review: with 1080p being all the hype i felt i needed to upgrade from this player to an upcovert 1080p player. this samsung unit though not 1080p was IMO a much more user friendly and all around better player.

played anything i threw at it...
